- I thought this was a nice knife set from a good manufacturer however when i received it (open box but i purchased new) one of the handles was badly scraped up. Now i would have just caulked that up and got a replacement but i noticed that it appeared the black handles were not solid black thru and thru. My fear was that if i ever scratched on my own, it would be very noticeable. so i returned them for a refund. I should have taken a picture for you.
