Works really well w/ the Great Value Sugarfree Drink Enhancers……I used Black Cherry & Lime…..!! Works w/ either the molds or regular ice cubes…….I was scared to try it @ first now I just plug it in & done in seconds…..!! Dont see how anybody could not understand its simplicity!! Thanks!!
I love the taste of snow. This machine is very easy to use. It comes with two containers that fills a 16oz cup with shaved ice. I’ve had it for 3 months so far and it works wonderfully. I already feel I received my money’s worth. I am tempted to buy another one just in case something happens to this one.
I bought this to enjoy crushed ice on hot summer evenings (drizzled with a bit of caramel syrup – yum). It is a little difficult to push the button that starts the shaving process, but, with a little wiggling, it starts. It shaves the ice nicely IF you use ice cubes, NOT the ice forms it comes with. (Which is the opposite of what the directions state) Those forms sit in the drawer. You can only run the machine for 1 minute at a time, with a 10 minute cool down before starting up again. So it is great if you only want to make shaved ice for one person. If you have 2 or more people who want to enjoy a treat at the same time, get a better machine. I have used this every evening for about 2 weeks and it does seem to still be shaving well. Time will tell. As they say, you get what you pay for – it is inexpensive and the quality is what I expected, but as I only wanted this for 1 cup of ice per day, it is fine for my use.

Just as advertised this makes snow-cone shaved ice from either cubes or solid ice frozen in the included molds. From cubes the ice is a little grainy, similar to commercial snow-cone ice. From the molds the ice is just like fresh fallen powder snow. My granddaughters love it.
One star deduction because it is made of plastic but it costs cheap enough to buy a replacement. I think the reason why they are made of plastic is because the blade eventually will need to be replace. So the cheap construction should last as long as the sharp blade. Here are Pros and Cons to both machines: RISM900COKE Pro = Makes very fluffy ice Pro = Uses ice blocks or ice cubes Pro = Shaves ice block in less than 30 seconds Pro = Cheaper than the FBS400COKE Pro = More quiet than FBS400COKE Con = Have to stand there and shave the ice. Not automatic Con = Does not rotate and mix the ice with the liquid Con = More cheaply made than the FBS400COKE RISM900COKE Pro = Drop ice in machine and it will shave them BY ITSELF as long as the lid is on Pro = Mix the liquid (Juice) with the ice by using the stir utensil Con = Does not use ice block and can only use ice cubes. That means you have to rely completely on the refrigerator icemaker. Con = Although there are two modes, ice shaves into more coarse texture than fluffy texture regardless of the modes Con = Takes 4-6x longer to shave the same amount of ice against RISM900COKE Con = Cost $10 more Con = Noise Con = Ice Blade is smaller
This product is easy to use, easy to clean , and is exactly as it appears in the picture. It dispenses shaved ice that is the consistency of fresh snow. The ice comes out soft and powdery like snow. In the two, round containers that come with the machine you can freeze any liquid you’d like. The round containers may appear small, but when you shave their frozen liquid you actually get a lot more ice than you might imagine. The machine is super easy and safe to use. You just press the lid on the top and it starts shaving ice. You can place a bowl or any type of container or glass underneath to catch the ice. It’s safe because the lid, which you remove to insert the frozen liquid, is the part that gets plugged in to the outlet. The blades, which sit inside of the base of the machine, are never plugged into anything — only the lid is plugged in. But the best thing about this machine is the perfect shaved ice that it creates; it’s perfect for making slushies or any kind of frozen drink.
This item, quite simply, does not work in the fashion in which it is presented by the manufacturer. It is very cheaply constructed and does not have a motor powerful enough or a blade large enough to cut the ice in the fashion advertised (“shaved”). If you want to make snow cones, you can get better crushed ice by putting ice cubes in your own blender than wasting your time with this product. Of course, one gets what one pays for. If you buy the lowest priced item (as I did), you should expect the lowest quality. I had hoped that, at the very least, the thing would have worked. Alas, I was wrong. Thank goodness for Walmart’s liberal return policy.
