- We wanted a tower fan that really pushed out some air. We also wanted it for white noise at night time. We tried several others and none of them made the cut. This fan is really powerful and is loud but not too loud. We really love it. It lost a star only because it wobbles a bit while rotating but it’s not a real bother. It also stays illuminated and there’s no way to turn off the light which kind of stinks so we just put a washcloth over it (which means the remote won’t work). But we still love it. We recommend if you are looking for a fan for the same reasons as us.

- This is the third of this series of HVB fans that I’ve bought; the oldest is about a decade old and all manual, the second is just like this one and I bought it at Sam’s a couple of years ago. This is a completely different type of fan from those wimpy ‘tower’ units sold in the stores. It is very, very powerful because of that squirrel cage fan rather than the old fashioned spinning blades. It’s very quiet for the amount of air it puts out. I don’t use the remote much but it would be very convenient for those who want one and it works perfectly. The one thing I have to do about every 6 months is clean the squirrel cage intakes on the lower sides but that’s because it sucks up all the cat hairs! Why Lasko doesn’t sell these in Wal-Mart and other retail stores, I don’t know. This is ten times more effective than what’s out there now.
- Fan is very powerful and we like to being able to rotate it so it isn’t a constant stream blowing in one direction. Helps circulate air through the room.
- I had bought a similar fan several years ago and finally needed to purchase a new one. I really liked the fan and wanted to replace it with a similar one. High velocity oscillating blower fan is a great description of the fan. It does just that.
- This fan is supet powerful, even @ the lowest output setting. No problem moving air- even from 1room to another. Quiet 4 the power created. Love everything about it!
- It has a lot of power and volume of air circulation is great. Easy to use. This is my Second one . We use them in RV’ s to help with A/C units cooling.
- This is without a doubt the BEST fan on the market, the first Lasko fan I bought is still going strong after 11 years of lots of use 24/7. The remote still works and blows cool air. Wanted a second fan and bought Holmes tower fan, returned it that week it was $10 less than this Lasko and not even worth $10. I totally love this new Lasko 3 great speeds, cools my whole room it is loud but not loud enough that it bothers me. I move it to my bedroom at night and sleep comfortably. If you like really quite rooms this isn’t the fan for you but I wouldn’t trade this fan for anything, absolutely love it!!
- fan works great but after one week it doesn’t oscillate, when i bought it it was on sale. i would never buy this product again. i went to replace it at walmart and they don’t carry this product in the store anymore would’t you know.
