- I got this because I don’t like to fill ice cube trays and automatic ice makers take up too much room in the freezer. This unit made 2 pounds of ice in about a hour. Pretty cool. The cubes are really cup shaped and small enough to go through the hole of some 1 liter pop bottles like the Pepsi ones. The instructions of mine said to repeatedly press the power button for 5 seconds to enter into a self clean cycle. I actually had to press and hold the power button down for 5 seconds to enter the self clean cycle. That’s the only hiccup I ran into.
- We can’t say enough good things about our ice maker. It looks great, matches our kitchen nicely, and we all get a kick out of how fast it makes ice cubes. When the first load of ice was made, it was so fast we thought the sound of the ice hitting the tray was something we mistakenly heard. Its actually a fun appliance. We use it every time we have guest over, or when we go camping. Just plug it in, and pour in some water. A great product.
