I am 43 but luckily have inherited youthful genes from my mothers side of family so I can usually pass for early 30’s. As a result I wanted to help keep my skin looking youthful so I turned to Neutrogenas Retinol serum which I have been using for a month and the results have been well worth it. My only concern is that I don’t know how much retinol I am using and this concerns me, the Neutrogena retinol eye cream is 0.5 retinol which is in the middle of the weakest and strongest over the counter retinol you can buy with SkinEssentials containing the highest retinol content of 1.0 without a script. Now I have searched high and low to try and find how much retinol i’m using with neutrogena but in their list of ingredients it just says retinol with no percentage and no percentage to be found anywhere on the net. Does this concern you, I know it concerns me, do they not put the percentage because it’s 1.0 and they fear this would scare customers off as they are willing to use and print 0.5 for sensitive eye area cream whats to say we’re not using 1.0 on our face, as consumers using a strong product on our skin like retinol, drug companies should publish exactly how much.
Within the first three days I noticed a significant difference in the texture of my skin. Lines are significantly reduced and looks and feels much smoother. Thank you Neutrogena for coming out with a product that I can use and that doesn’t cause breakouts! I would love to give the product 5 stars but the all time best product I have ever used from Neutrogena is the discontinued 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment with 2% salicylic acid. I wish you would bring it back!!!!
I love to use serums and I think they are a MUST for aging skin. They can be expensive so I love this one to use at night. I can really tell a difference in the short time I have used it. I am amazed at the compliments I have gotten. Give it a try you will love it and a little goes a long way.
I have been using the product for about 2-3 weeks and I find it burns and doesn’t appear to have any good benefits. In fact, the skin under my eyes look even MORE wrinkled which it wasn’t before. I’m thinking of asking for a refund! It seems another (moisturizer) product I’ve used before seems to do a better job.
