- Assembled very easily. Manual does not have recommended cooking temps and time. Website is terrible for recommendations also. Lucky for me that I have used these smokers for years and have some recipes on hand. Go to other websites for times, temps and recipes.
- I bought this on line never having an electric before. best thing I ever did, first time made bacon every love it next ribs and beans, next brisket , every saterday plan to use it.
- The only downside is the cleaning up the mess from the racks, pan, etc. after smoking, but that’s gonna be with any smoker. It lends a fabulous smoky flavor to the meat. I’ve only used it 3 times since I got it, but it’s only been a week! I made ribs the first time. Since I’ve done Boston butt for pulled pork and chicken wings which were excellent! This was the best price around on this particular smoker–with free shipping! Highly recommend. Set up was easy. One of the feet was bent on it when it arrived, but I bought a stand, so it wasn’t an issue. Great little smoker!

- My husband set it up right away and understands how to use it. It comes with many features including window, temp accuracy, light, remote, internal thermometer. Very nice. I got it for his birthday, he put wood chips on the bottom and smoked a lot of meat that turned out great! I would highly recommend it for anyone that is not able to use other methods from apartment ruling.
- Had used a propane smoker and found this electric unit totally better for smoking. Both were Masterbuilt units. Temp control is right on the money and the meat probe was handy. Did notice the remote timer doesn’t sound when time cycle was done. But not a problem as the unit will shut off. Used in garage with door open, outside temp was 50’s with high winds.
- Received this as a Christmas gift on Friday 12-04-15. Just opened the box and set up per the instructions, which is very easy. Turned on to season, per instructions and the unit keeps shutting off while heating up. Unable to reach Masterbuilt support until Monday since they are closed on weekends.
